LG Mobile, the world’s third biggest mobile phone producer, promoted their new models of cell phones in Beijng, Xi’an and Shanghai World Expo, expecting to increase the sales to 15 million units in the Chinese market in 2010, state media and consulting companies said on Friday (May 7, 2010).

"Mobile phone giant like Samsung and LG presented over 80 new models for more than ten thousand visitors in the Xi’an Mobile Phone Expo 2010,” said the Xi’an-based Hua Shang Daily on May 7. The new models of LG mobile phones include the golden LG GT500s, Arena, LG Shine 2, Cosmos, Lotus Elite and LG Chocolate Touch.

LG Mobile Phones Won the World but Dropped Behind in the Chinese Market

According to a report by the Shenzhen Zero Power Intelligence Co., Limited, a Guangdong-based consulting company, LG sold 117.9 million units of cell phones in the global market in 2009. The sales of LG phones accounted for 11% of the global market.
