I really like my LG Revolution phone...fast and does what I need.

However, the battery life is pitiful. Apparently, the 4G phones are constantly searching for 4G signal and when you are in a metal building (like our office) it "searches" quite often and burns up tons of battery life. The phone also gets warm in its battery area in the process.

My old 3G Droid never did this and battery lasted longer. However, the Revolution does SOO much more and is faster....pay for speed! LOL

I found an app called "Juice Defender' and it has mostly good reviews.

The "Advanced Task Killer" is a total joke. Kill apps, then boot up the Task Killer 2 minutes later and there are all those apps you just killed...running like mad again.

Anyone using Juice Defender? Is it worth it?

Just thought I'd ask. I am not the most "tech savvy" guy on smart phones and need some help! LOL

Thanks,

Brickboy240

PS: how do you delete all the nonsense apps that come on these phones, like games? I tried to do this, but can only delete the apps I loaded from the Android Market. Freeing up some space might make things run smoother.

Wow what a week of events in the world of cell phones. From a lackluster Apple iPhone launch to the passing of one of the true geniuses in the game.

So as a little palate cleanser, here's Dom Joly and a classic clip from Trigger Happy TV. How this all fits in is Joly's loveable/hateable character: Annoying Cell Phone Guy?

ACPG teaches everyone a little lesson in jogging cell phone etiquette. Watch the clip as he literally scares the bejeebies at of a pair of female joggers - as he screams into his much oversized cell phone. The funny bit is after Joly scares the women, he keeps running after them (and talking loudly).

Oh Annoying Cell Phone Guy: how you never cease to make me laugh!
